Stree 2, the sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy hit, has already surpassed the box office collection of its predecessor. This demonstrates the immense anticipation for the film, particularly fans’ eagerness to watch Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao reunion. Riding on the wave of rave reviews, Stree 2 continued its strong performance in its second weekend as well, raking in Rs. 386 crore domestically, and crossing Rs. 500 crore worldwide. This success has left the entire cast, including Rajkummar Rao stunned, which made him express his gratitude.

ecently in an interview with News18, lead actor Rajkummar Rao, who played Vicky in Stree 2, talked about his feelings after seeing the horror comedy sequel’s unexpected success. The actor stated that they were sure people would love to watch the film, after all everyone, including him, are big fans of the film series. But the box office success stunned him.

“There’s a big fan-following for Stree, including me. I am a huge fan of Stree myself. But these numbers are way above our expectations. We are glad and super elated. There’s a lot of gratitude that this is happening with a film like Stree, because it is a content-driven film”, Rao shared. 

Rajkummar Rao gives credit to wife Patralekhaa

For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao met Patralekhaa in his initial days in the industry. Hence, he affectionately refers to her as his go-to person, the one he can always count on. Even he gives credit of Stree 2’s success to his wife Patralekhaa, explaining how the 34-year-old actress has always supported him, and guid him in every new step of his career. 

Rajkummar recalled, “She became my strength, and my guiding force. She is the love of my life, she is my wife now and I, her husband. She is my go-to person for everything. When I am at the lowest point in my life, I go to her. When I am the happiest, I would go to her. So, she’s the one thread that has held me together in my bad days and good days.”
