Laxman Utekar's film, Chhaava, presents an epic portrayal of the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Featuring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the movie has garnered favorable reviews from both audiences and critics. The performances of the cast have also received commendation from viewers. Recently, Rajkummar Rao shared his thoughts on Vicky's film, Chhaava, via his social media platform.

On February 17, Rajkummar Rao utilized his Instagram Story to express his admiration for Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. Accompanying a poster of the film, Rao commented, "#Chhaava is brilliant. @VickyKaushal09 you deserve all this love bhai and much more @LaxmanUtekar Sir take a bow." He also acknowledged Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, and others, stating, "Amazing performances."

Chhaava plot

The film chronicles the valiant journey of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as he confronts adversities and opposes the Mughal Empire, emphasizing his courage and enduring legacy.

Based on the Marathi novel "Chhava" by Shivaji Sawant, the film illustrates the trials and ultimate sacrifice of Sambhaji Maharaj in his struggle against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

In Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, who reigned from 1681 to 1689. Rashmika Mandanna takes on the role of Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj.

Akshaye Khanna embodies the character of Aurangzeb, while Ashutosh Rana plays Hambirrao Mohite. Diana Penty appears as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Aurangzeb's daughter, who was a Mughal princess and the second daughter of Emperor Aurangzeb and his chief consort, Dilras Banu Begum.

The cast also includes Divya Dutta as Soyarabai Bhosale, along with Vineet Kumar, Santosh Juvekar, Neil Bhoopaam, and Pradeep Rawat.

As of now, Laxman Utekar's film has achieved a total box office collection of Rs. 121.83 crore within four days of its release.
