Rajiv Thakur Defends Kapil Sharma Against Arrogance Claims: 'Success Can Drive Anyone Crazy'
3 months ago | 5 Views
Comedian Rajiv Thakur, known for his role in The Great Indian Kapil Show, recently talked about the rift between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover during an interview with Siddharth Kannan. He also stood up for Kapil, pushing back against accusations that he got arrogant after finding success.
Rajiv talking about Kapil's newfound arrogance
Rajiv was asked if he ever felt jealous of Kapil, and he quickly shot that down, instead praising Kapil for his ability to keep the audience hooked. When it came to the rumors about Kapil being arrogant, Rajiv explained, “He’s dealing with a lot of pressure, and people don’t really get that. Can you imagine memorizing a script that’s 2 to 2.5 hours long? Has he ever messed up? Not once. He brings a special energy to everyone’s entrance. On top of performing, he has to greet guests, make them feel at home, and collaborate with the channel’s creative team on the show. It’s not about being arrogant. If I had his level of success and fame, I might lose it too. No one manages fame like he does. I, who barely have 5 percent of his success, sometimes get annoyed by fans. But you should see how warmly he interacts with them.”
Rajiv also touched on the past issues between Kapil and Sunil, making it clear that there are no hard feelings anymore. He said, “Who doesn’t have disagreements? If their conflict was that serious, how come they’re still hanging out and filming together? Sure, money can bring people together, but if you look at the vibe on set, you can tell they really enjoy each other’s company. Even after filming, they stick around together.”
