Actor Rajinikanth recently thrilled and astonished fans when he traveled in economy class on an IndiGo flight. A fan shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing how passengers reacted upon seeing Rajinikanth boarding the aircraft. Take a look.

Rajinikanth greets enthusiastic fans

The fan sharing the video on X mentioned, “THATS RIGHT. I GOT தலைவர் தரிசனம்! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! (Thalaivar’s darshan) Crying. Shivering. Heart beating peakeddddddd. ” In the footage, individuals can be seen cheering loudly and pulling out their phones to capture the moment as soon as they realised that Rajinikanth had entered the plane.

They wave at him and shout Thalaiva to attract his attention. The actor appeared more than willing to greet everyone and acknowledge those calling out his name. The fan who filmed can even be heard exclaiming, “Oh my god…st, hi,” as Rajinikanth establishes eye contact and waves back at them.

Fans responded to the video, with one saying, “There’s true joy on his face too, what a guy. ” Another commented, “This is a timeless video! ” Some fans noted that he was flying economy, while others highlighted ‘that grin. ’

Rajinikanth’s preference for economy flights

This isn't the first occasion Rajinikanth has amazed fans by opting for economy class, not shying away from greeting those who approach him. In March of last year, he was seen on a flight from Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh. He didn’t even attempt to conceal his identity and appeared at ease as the individual sitting beside him looked thrilled.

He even engaged in conversation with the crew prior to taking his seat for takeoff. Jiiva, who later encountered Rajinikanth on a shuttle that same day, posted pictures with him, stating, “Flying high with the superstar Rajinikanth sir! ”

Rajinikanth was recently seen in the 2024 film Vettaiyan, where he portrayed a ruthless cop who comes to recognize his mistakes. He is set to appear in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie and Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2 soon.
