Fitness influencer Rajat Dalal didn’t quite make it to the top 2 in the Bigg Boss 18 grand finale, even though he had a huge fan base and backing from Elvish Yadav. His exit sparked a lot of anger among fans, with some suggesting that Elvish’s support could have hurt his chances. Rajat has shared his thoughts on the situation in a recent interview with Zoom.

Rajat responds to Elvish backing him up

Elvish Yadav showed his support for Rajat during a press conference related to the show. Things got tense when the media confronted him about organizing meet-ups to rally votes for Rajat, leading to a media boycott. When Rajat was asked if he felt more assured about his fan support after the press conference, he replied, "We were in the house and had no clue about the voting situation. I don’t just believe what I hear; I trust what I see. Elvish didn’t say anything about the voting. I kept myself in check inside the house and was aware of my surroundings, but I had no idea what was happening outside since we didn’t have any access. Now that it’s all done, there’s no way to change it."

The day before the big finale, Elvish Yadav made a splash by saying he’d give away 101 iPhone 16 Pro Max if Rajat Dalal snagged the win, urging fans to vote like crazy for the fitness influencer. But after Rajat got evicted, a lot of fans felt that Elvish’s involvement messed with his game. In response to those comments, Rajat said, "If someone’s talking about phone giveaways, that was our choice. People are asking if Elvish's support hurt my game. If someone tells me that, I’m cool with it. I don’t have a problem, but I know it’s not true. I don’t pay attention to rumors. You can believe what you want."

In the end, Karan Veer Mehra, the television actor, took home the trophy from Salman Khan's show along with the ₹50 lakh prize. The other housemates were left stunned by the news, while Chum Darang and Shilpa Shirodkar celebrated by hugging and jumping for joy over his win.
