Raj Kundra has once again found himself embroiled in controversy, this time linked to a money laundering case allegedly connected to the circulation of pornographic content. The businessman, already a controversial figure, is now under scrutiny as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided his Mumbai residence and office. Reports suggest that after questioning Kundra at one of his properties, the ED has decided to deepen the investigation and has summoned him for further questioning.

Raj Kundra Summoned by ED

According to India Today, a source from the ED has confirmed that Raj Kundra has been summoned to appear before the agency on December 2, Monday, at 11:00 am. Kundra is required to report to the ED's Mumbai office, where he will face questioning. Others connected to the case have also been summoned for interrogation.

This development comes after Kundra’s 2021 arrest by the Mumbai Police on charges related to the creation and distribution of pornographic content. The current case links Kundra to alleged money laundering. The ED has been investigating the financial trail and proceeds generated from the creation and distribution of adult content.

What Exactly Happened?

The ED conducted raids on Friday at multiple locations, including Kundra's home and office in Mumbai, as part of the money laundering case linked to the alleged distribution of pornographic and adult movies. Around 15 locations across Mumbai and certain cities in Uttar Pradesh were searched during the operation. Kundra was questioned at one of these premises.

Breaking his silence, Raj Kundra took to Instagram Stories to issue a statement, "To whom it may concern, while the media seems to have a flair for drama, let's set the record straight: I'm fully complying with the ongoing investigation that has been unfolding for the last four years. As for the claims of 'associates', 'pornography,' and 'money laundering,' let's just say that no amount of sensationalism will cloud the truth. In the end, justice will prevail!"

He added, "A note to the media: It's unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife's name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries! #ED."
