At the launch of the Raid 2 trailer, director Raj Kumar Gupta opened up about the film's development and the lengthy process it took to bring it to life. He mentioned, "Creating Raid 2 was a time-consuming journey. Good things require patience, especially when it comes to finding the right narrative. We needed to ensure that everyone was aligned with the story we wanted to tell. We didn’t want to compromise what we had built, and that took time. Fortunately, we all united in the end."

When discussing the film's lead, Ajay Devgn, Gupta commended his commitment and relentless pursuit of excellence. "He constantly pushes his own limits," Gupta noted. "I’m a huge admirer of his work. He’s the only superstar I’ve collaborated with, and he continually challenges himself. It’s not just about this film; he has a long history of portraying diverse roles. We all find inspiration in him. As a director, it’s incredible to witness an actor—or a superstar—immerse themselves so deeply into their character and even guide me along the way."

Gupta also highlighted how Devgn’s dedication has motivated the entire crew. "When he arrives on set, he’s fully in character. If I need assistance, he’s always willing to help. His input in shaping the character is priceless."

Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, stars Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Saurabh Shukla, and is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.
