OTTplay has earlier reported that Raj Chakraborty will be directing a Hindi web series. It is heard that Raj's longtime hard work is going to be materialised. We further reported that he will direct a Hindi series based on his hit Bengali film Parineeta. The series will be released on a national OTT platform. 

Parineeta was released in 2019 where Raj broke his comfort zone and made a new kind of film. This was also a milestone in Subhasree Ganguly’s career because she proved herself as a strong actress with the film. She also proved her capabilities outside so-called commercial films. Mehul's love story with Babai da, played by Ritwick Chakraborty, was a hit. The film was a mixture of love and revenge. 

Now it is heard that Raj will direct a series with this background, though there will be considerable changes in the story and screenplay. A Marathi writer is penning the story of the series. The question is, will Subhasree be the heroine of the series as well? 

Sources say that Raj chose two A-lister Bollywood actresses as possible choices for the female lead. He doesn't want to reveal any name. It is heard that renowned Kolkata actors will also be in the series. Raj plans to shoot the series during Puja. The background will be North Kolkata, like the Bengali film. The question is, will the series start with the revenge of Babai da's death? 

Gairik Sarkar will be the DoP and Paramita Ghosh of the LSD2 fame will edit the series.
