Raid 2 is among the most eagerly awaited films of 2025. Featuring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh in prominent roles, the movie serves as a sequel to the hit film, Raid, released in 2018. It is set to be released in theaters on May 1, 2025. This high-energy crime thriller has garnered attention ever since the release of its trailer. In advance of its debut, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) requested modifications to two dialogues while allowing all action and violent sequences to remain unchanged.

CBFC requests Raid 2 creators to modify two dialogues

As per Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) did not instruct the Raid 2 creators to cut any visuals, indicating that all action and violent moments will remain in the movie. Nonetheless, the CBFC requested alterations to two dialogues. The creators need to substitute ‘Railway Mantri’ with ‘Bada Mantri’, and they were also directed to eliminate the eight-second dialogue ‘Paisa, hathyar, taakat’ at the very start of the film. In the meantime, the movie has a runtime of 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 53 seconds.

The 2-minute and 34-second trailer of Raid 2 presents Ajay Devgn returning as his IRS officer character Amay Patnaik. In a challenging battle against a Rs 4,200 crore fraud, he aims to pursue a white-collar criminal, Dadabhai (Riteish Deshmukh). The confrontation between Ajay and Riteish's roles will be an intriguing element to observe.

In a previous exclusive conversation with OTTplay, director Raj Kumar Gupta commended Ajay Devgn and expressed that he recognized Ajay as a highly intelligent actor since Raid, and he understands the type of film he is involved in.

Gupta further remarked, "He is always in character, no matter what role he is portraying. He is someone who consistently comes prepared on the sets. He possesses a strong awareness of the film, its surroundings, the atmosphere of the movie, and more. "

In addition, Raid 2 also features Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, Amit Sial, and Yashpal Sharma among others. Jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, Raid 2 is introduced by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.
