After unending dramas and marathon meetings, the Directors Association Of Eastern India revoked their ‘compulsory waiting status’ on director Rahool Mukherjee. In a press release, it was stated that the association has ‘misleading and incomplete’ information. After this decision, Rahool was reinstated as the director of SVF’s upcoming project, which features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Priyanka Sarkar, and others. The shooting of the film will start soon.

On Thursday, the members of the directors association held a meeting. Parambrata Chatterjee, Arindam Sil, Raj Chakraborty, Aniruddha Roychowdhury, Anjan Dutt, Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay, Debaloy Bhattacharya, Dhrubo Banerjee, Ayan Chakraborty, and several others attended the meeting. The office bearers of the directors association Sudeshna Roy and Subrata Sen were also present at the meeting.

As per sources, 72 directors signed a letter to revoke Rahool Mukherjee’s suspension order. Alternatively, they threatened to separate themselves from the umbrella of the Federation. The Federation of Cine Technicians & Workers of Eastern India has 25-odd guilds, including the directors association, under them. Around 9 pm, Sudeshna and Subrata went to meet the Federation leader Swarup Biswas and other heads of the guilds to convey the letter.

At nearly 11 pm, the Federation decided to let Rahool work as a creative producer for the upcoming project. However, they did not agree to revoke the suspension order. The Federation officials said that they would not object to Rahool being on the floors with Soumik Halder directing the film. While no decision has been made, directors seemed to be unhappy with the outcome of the meeting. According to a director who did not want to be named, "We want Rahool to direct the film without any suspension order."

Finally, on Friday, it was decided that the order of Rahool’s reported ‘suspension’ will be revoked. SVF’s spokesperson confirmed that Rahool will be directing the film.
