Rachel Zegler reportedly made a "dismissive" remark about Gal Gadot, which sparked some tension between the two, as per a recent Variety report. This surprising news comes amid the ongoing criticism of Disney's Snow White remake, which had a rough start at the box office.

Rachel Zegler's disrespectful comment about Gal Gadot has reportedly created tension between them

A shocking report released on Tuesday highlights the ongoing issues Disney faced due to the 23-year-old actress' controversial social media activity, which included posts like “Free Palestine” and “F**k Donald Trump.”

According to sources, Zegler and Gadot had a good rapport during filming, with no animosity between them. However, things became tense as the film's release approached.

After they presented an award together at the 2025 Oscars, Zegler referred to Gadot as “a professional pageant queen” in an Instagram comment. This remark was seen as a dismissive way to refer to another actress, according to insiders.

Additionally, Zegler's pro-Palestine statements heightened the strain between the Snow White co-stars, especially since Gadot, being Israeli, received death threats. Disney had to arrange extra security for Gadot, who is a mother of four.

An insider commented that Zegler didn’t fully grasp the consequences of her actions and how they affected the film and Gadot. The movie, directed by Marc Webb, has faced significant backlash due to expensive reshoots and Zegler's controversial posts.

After the presidential elections, Zegler posted on Instagram, “May Trump supporters … never know peace,” which led to calls for a boycott from Trump’s supporters.

This post was the tipping point for Disney, as they felt Zegler was alienating a significant portion of the audience for an already struggling film.

Film producer Marc Platt made two trips to meet with Zegler, and after some negotiation, she agreed to collaborate with a “social media guru” funded by Disney to review her posts before the film's release on March 21.
