Rachel Zegler has garnered significant attention since her casting as the beloved Disney princess Snow White in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic tale. Directed by Marc Webb, the film, titled simply Snow White, is set to premiere worldwide on March 21. In her recent remarks, Zegler shared her thoughts on the character's portrayal and her hopes for audience reception.

The story of Snow White was first brought to life by Disney in the iconic 1937 animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Reflecting on the film's relevance nearly nine decades later, Zegler stated, “From the very beginning, it was clear that Marc aimed to create a ‘Snow White’ for today’s audience. This is what makes our narrative so impactful, and I believe people around the globe will connect with her.”

As Disney's inaugural princess, Zegler felt a mix of excitement and pressure regarding the role, but she embraced the challenge wholeheartedly. “It was crucial for me to portray her as lovable, embodying femininity and beauty in various forms, while also showcasing her strength and determination. She is incredibly charming, winning the hearts of the seven dwarfs, Jonathan, and ultimately, the entire kingdom,” the actress explained.

Zegler expressed her enthusiasm for introducing a new generation of viewers to the story of Snow White on the big screen. “Having a female protagonist whose primary qualities are fearlessness, fairness, bravery, and authenticity is something I have never encountered before, and I am thrilled for the next generation of moviegoers to experience that,” she remarked.

The film also features Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, along with Andrew Burnao, Ansu Kabia, Patrick Page, Andrew Barth Feldman, Tituss Burgess, Martin Klebba, Jason Kravits, George Salazar, Jeremy Swift, and Andy Grotelueschen. Snow White will be released in theaters on March 21.
