RG Kar incident: Shreya Ghoshal registers her protest against with a song at a Kolkata gig

Shreya Ghoshal postponed her Kolkata concert in demand of the safety of women. Now, she sings on a stage in the city. She was in a protesting mood there also and was vocal against harassment of women. She sang E Je Sorirer Chitkar.  

Shreya Ghoshal was supposed to hold a concert on September 14 in Kolkata. But in the wake of the RG Kar incident, she decided to postpone the event and became vocal for women's safety. She touched upon the issue of women getting harassed all over the world.  

Politician from the ruling party Kunal Ghosh saluted Shreya Ghoshal's protest and wrote on X handle, "She is concerned about RG Kar like all of us. She postponed her program. She talked about women's safety all over India and the world. Protest is necessary against rape and murder. This is not an issue of Bengal only."  

Shreya rescheduled the concert on October 14 in Kolkata. She protested against women's harassment through her song.
