Actor R Madhavan has shared his thoughts on his 3 Idiots co-star Aamir Khan's peculiar tendency to go about without a wallet. During a recent discussion, Madhavan expressed amusement at Aamir's laid-back lifestyle, acknowledging that he does not share such an extreme outlook.

R Madhavan reacts to Aamir Khan's habit

In an interview with Just Too Filmy, Madhavan was posed a question regarding his own wallet-carrying habits, especially in comparison to Aamir Khan, who is known for his wallet-free lifestyle.

Madhavan responded, stating, “I am never that extreme. Aamir’s stardom affords him the luxury of living that way. He has people to handle his expenses, and while he does pay them, it’s not as if he avoids payment altogether. My personality, however, does not permit me to move around with an entourage. I prefer solitude, which grants me the freedom to engage with others.”

He further elaborated that while he does not excessively monitor his spending, he consistently lives within his financial means. For instance, if he aspires to own a larger vehicle, he refrains from making the purchase if it surpasses his budget.

Madhavan also mentioned that although he is not particularly stingy with his finances, he maintains a level of financial responsibility by ensuring he does not exceed his means. He noted that he lacks “worldly possessions,” which he believes reflects his status in the industry.

In the same interview, he discussed his wife Sarita's perspective on his spending habits, revealing that she considers him ‘generous’ to a fault. He remarked, “I believe I am quite discerning in my expenditures, but she insists that I am not particular about it at all. I spend what I have.”
