The crew of Pushpa 2: The Rule just wrapped up a success meet in Hyderabad, featuring director Sukumar, main star Allu Arjun, and the whole team. Sunil, who portrays Mangalam Seenu in both Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2: The Rule, shared a cool story about how he was recognized by fans from Pakistan while he was in Spain, all thanks to the movies.

Sunil talks about being recognized by people from Pakistan

Sunil shared a fun story at the event about his recent experience shooting for Adhik Ravichandran’s film Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith Kumar, in Spain. After a long day of filming, he, Adhik, and the crew found themselves on a late-night snack hunt. They rushed to a gas station at 9:45 pm, just before it closed at 10, and managed to grab a few snacks, but they were still craving more.

As they searched for open restaurants nearby, they stumbled upon a kebab spot that was closed. The owners were outside smoking, and Sunil guessed they might be Indians. One of the guys recognized him from the interval scene in Pushpa and even pulled it up on his phone to confirm. Sunil was taken aback! Even though the restaurant was closed, the Pakistani owners were kind enough to whip up some food for them. Sunil remarked on how far-reaching the film's impact is, saying he gets recognized from Pushpa no matter where he goes.

About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Pushpa 2: The Rule had a solid performance in theaters starting December 5, and it just dropped on Netflix. This sequel follows the successful 2021 movie Pushpa: The Rise. It continues the journey of Pushpa Raj, who goes from being a daily wage laborer to the top dog in the red sanders smuggling scene. Sunil’s Mangalam is one of the main rivals he faces. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil also star in key roles.
