In light of the speculation regarding the OTT release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the film's production team has provided a clarification. On Friday, Mythri Movie Makers took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share an update.

The production company announced via Twitter, "Rumors are circulating regarding the OTT release of #Pushpa2TheRule. Experience the grand film #Pushpa2 exclusively in theatres during this major holiday season (red heart emoji). It will not be available on any OTT platform for 56 days! It's #WildFirePushpa only in theatres globally (fire emoji)."

Another comment stated, "It will not be available on any OTT platform for at least 56 days! Excellent decision." Additionally, an individual expressed, "It is wise to allow a substantial interval before the OTT release."

An Instagram user remarked, "This is an excellent concept. Arjun Reddy was meant to undertake this. However, #Pushpa2 is now taking the lead." A tweet stated, "CHRISTMAS FEAST LOADING... The updated version of Pushpa 2 will include an extra 18 minutes of content and is scheduled for release on December 25."

About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Pushpa 2: The Rule serves as the sequel to the highly successful 2021 Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise. The movie premiered on December 5 and is available in dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam. It has quickly become one of the most significant successes of 2024. Pushpa 2 has joined the ranks of notable films such as Aamir Khan's Dangal, Prabhas's Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, SS Rajamouli's RRR, and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan in the prestigious ₹1,000 crore club.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule also includes performances by Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. To date, the film has grossed ₹1004.35 crore nett in India.
