Allu Arjun, the renowned Telugu actor, has been taken into custody by the Hyderabad Police following a tragic incident at the premiere of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The event, held on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre in RTC Crossroads, Hyderabad, resulted in a stampede-like situation. This chaos led to the unfortunate death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi, while her nine-year-old son, Sri Teja, was hospitalized due to suffocation.

The police initiated action based on a complaint lodged by the family of the deceased, which prompted the filing of a case against Allu Arjun, his security personnel, and the theatre management. The case has been registered under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A police team from the Chikkadpally station apprehended Allu Arjun at his residence in Jubilee Hills and subsequently took him to the police station for interrogation.

The unfortunate incident transpired as a large crowd gathered at the theatre to catch a glimpse of the actor during the film's premiere. The excitement among fans escalated, leading to a stampede and ensuing panic. The police have confirmed the death of the woman, while her son is currently receiving medical attention, with his condition reported as stable as he continues to recover in the hospital.

Pushpa 2 OTT release date: When and where to watch

Pushpa 2 is generating significant excitement in anticipation of its forthcoming OTT release. While Netflix has yet to officially announce the precise release date, a newly unveiled poster indicates that the film will soon be accessible in various languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Reports indicate that the film may debut on the streaming service approximately six to eight weeks following its theatrical release.

Furthermore, it has been reported that Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for Pushpa 2 for an amount exceeding Rs. 275 crore. Enthusiasts of the Pushpa series can also expect both Pushpa 1 and Pushpa 2 to be available on the platform shortly.
