When Kannada filmmaker Hemanth M Rao embarked on his journey with his debut feature film, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, which he ultimately co-produced, he faced significant challenges in bringing the project to fruition. He and the film's lead actor, Rakshit Shetty, engaged in discussions about their aspirations to reach a level where they could produce films annually. Their vision included not only directing their own projects but also supporting the creative endeavors of others, thereby establishing a sustainable financial model for their work.

Rakshit has been actively contributing through his Paramvah Studios, while Hemanth is striving to fulfill their shared vision with projects like Agnyathavasi, set to premiere in theaters on April 11, 2025. This film is directed by Janardhan Chikkanna, known for his successful film Gultoo, who faced challenges in securing funding for his subsequent project, prompting Hemanth to step in. The creator of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello successfully brought in several investors to launch this project, featuring Rangayana Raghu, recognized for his role in Cyanide.

Hemanth M Rao was fascinated by the screenplay of Agnyathavasi

Hemanth M Rao expressed his enthusiasm for the screenplay of Agnyathavasi. He invests all his earnings from filmmaking into producing other films, as the film industry is his primary area of expertise. In a recent interview, he outlined his goal for the production company to create 5-6 films annually—projects that resonate with him as an audience member. Regarding Agnyathavasi, Hemanth noted that he was particularly drawn to the screenplay's structure and the clever presentation of its themes by Janardhan.

Agnyathavasi, a murder mystery, effectively explores both the identity of the perpetrator and the motivations behind the crime. Having viewed numerous films in this genre, Hemanth found Janardhan's script intriguing, which ultimately led to Agnyathavasi being produced under the Dakshayini Talkies banner.
