Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has joined the cast of SS Rajamouli’s forthcoming film, which features Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, tentatively titled SSMB 29. Although the director has not yet made an official announcement, here is what we currently know about this recent addition to the project.

Prithviraj recently perplexed his fans by sharing an image of his new appearance on Instagram and Facebook. In his post, he stated, “Complete and deliver the film along with all marketing materials for your directorial project. Prepare for your next role as an actor. Acknowledge that you have extensive monologues in a language that is not your mother tongue, and begin to feel anxious.”

Some fans interpreted Prithviraj's comments as confirmation of his involvement in SSMB 29, while others speculated whether he was referring to Meghana Gulzar’s project featuring Kareena Kapoor. This uncertainty was clarified when his mother, Mallika, addressed a fan on Facebook, suggesting that the image in question was AI-generated. As reported by OTT Play, she stated in a now-deleted comment, “Next is Rajamouli film. He is leaving tonight,” and mentioned that they could have inquired with her for accurate information.

Additionally, on Wednesday, Mahesh and Prithviraj were photographed at a private airport en route to Koraput, Odisha. Although this could have been coincidental, a public relations officer confirmed Prithviraj Sukumaran's participation in SSMB 29 by sharing images of both actors at the airport, captioning it, “#SSMB29 Ready To Roar.”

A few days later, Madhu Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's mother, affirmed in an interview with Lehren Retro that her daughter is involved in SSMB 29. When the film was mentioned, Madhu discreetly stated, “Vahin shooting pe hain voh. (She is shooting the film).” Additionally, Priyanka has hinted at her participation in the film through her social media posts.

Fans from Odisha have been sharing images and videos of the actors and filming locations on various online platforms.

Rajamouli has maintained a discreet stance regarding his upcoming project, SSMB 29, disclosing only that Mahesh will play the lead role. According to sources, the initial filming schedule has been completed, with the subsequent schedule set to occur in Odisha.

Details about the film remain scarce, although it is being described as a jungle adventure drama. Unlike the press conference he conducted before the filming of RRR, where he shared the storyline, the pooja ceremony for this new project was conducted privately.
