He stated, “The very first person to watch the trailer of #L2E #EMPURAAN I will forever cherish what you said after watching it, Sir! This meant the world to me! About L2: Empuraan

Regarding L2: Empuraan, it serves as the sequel to Prithviraj’s successful 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer, which featured Mohanlal in the lead role as Stephen Nedumpally, also known as Khureshi-Ab'raam. The narrative delves into the consequences of Lucifer and Stephen’s involvement in addressing the power vacuum that arises after a leader's demise in the original film.

The screenplay was penned by Murali Gopy, with production credits going to Aashirvad Cinemas, Sree Gokulam Movies, and Lyca Productions. The cast also includes Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Jerome Flynn, Eriq Ebouaney, and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

In addition to L2: Empuraan, Prithviraj Sukumaran is set to appear in SS Rajamouli’s Telugu project SSMB 29. Recently, a video surfaced online showing him filming alongside Mahesh Babu in Odisha. The film also features Priyanka Chopra in a leading role. Furthermore, Prithviraj has several upcoming Malayalam projects, including Vilayath Buddha, Nobody, and Santhosh Trophy, as well as a Hindi film titled Sarzameen.

Rajinikanth has completed filming for Lokesh Kanagraj’s Coolie. The movie features an impressive cast that includes Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy. There are rumors that Aamir Khan will make a cameo appearance, while Pooja Hegde has been officially confirmed for a special performance.
