Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has recently completed the Odisha segment of SSMB 29. Images from the set have emerged online, featuring Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu, and Rajamouli alongside local residents. Speculation regarding Prithviraj Sukumaran's involvement in the film has been circulating, and he has now addressed these rumors in an interview with Pinkvilla.

Prithviraj Sukumaran confirms his participation in SSMB 29. A photograph of the Malayalam actor from the Odisha set has also surfaced, intensifying the speculation. Initially, he sidestepped inquiries about the film, describing his trip with Mahesh Babu as merely a sightseeing excursion. However, he later acknowledged, “Now that some photographs and a video have been leaked, I can’t really claim that my visit was solely for sightseeing. I hope we can discuss the film soon. I have been involved in this project for over a year, and we have been gradually progressing.”

Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran were seen departing for Odisha together. Subsequently, numerous images and videos showcasing the impressive set of SSMB 29 appeared online. These visuals included Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Rajamouli interacting with the residents of Koraput. In one notable image, Priyanka is captured signing a note that expresses gratitude: "Dear Koraput, thank you for the warm hospitality. Looking forward to many such adventures. With love from the sets of SSMB-29." This note was also signed by Rajamouli. A video depicted the filmmaker receiving a gift package containing millet products from the local community as they concluded their shoot.

After the worldwide triumph of RRR, SS Rajamouli is preparing to captivate audiences with his forthcoming project, SSMB 29, which has yet to be officially titled. The screenplay is penned by the director's father, Vijayendra Prasad, and is expected to be an action-adventure narrative reminiscent of Indiana Jones. Production commenced in January of this year with a ceremonial pooja. Notably, Priyanka Chopra will be returning to Indian cinema through this film, generating additional excitement.

Prithviraj is actively promoting his next directorial venture, L2: Empuraan. This action thriller, produced in collaboration with Aashirvad Cinemas, Sree Gokulam Movies, and Lyca Productions, serves as a sequel to the 2019 film Lucifer. The movie features Mohanlal in the lead role, supported by a talented cast that includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Eriq Ebouaney, Jerome Flynn, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. It is scheduled for theatrical release on March 27.
