Preity Zinta has expressed her disapproval of Congress Kerala following the party's assertion that she had transferred control of her social media accounts to a political organization. In a post on its X (formerly Twitter) account, Congress Kerala also alleged that Preity Zinta had her ₹18 crore loan "written off." In response, Preity labeled the claims as 'fake news' and emphasized that she manages her social media accounts independently.

Furthermore, Preity clarified that the loan in question was settled more than ten years ago. Voicing her astonishment, she remarked that the party was engaging in "vile gossip and clickbait" by utilizing her name and likeness. In her tweet, she stated, "I manage my social media accounts myself, and it is shameful for you to propagate FAKE NEWS! No one has written off any loan on my behalf."

"I am appalled that a political party or its representatives would disseminate false information and engage in vile gossip and clickbait using my name and images. To clarify, the loan was taken out and has been FULLY REPAID over a decade ago. I hope this statement clears up any potential misunderstandings in the future," she concluded.

What Congress Kerala said about Preity

Sharing a report, which also featured Preity's photo, Congress Kerala tweeted on Monday, "She gave her social media accounts to BJP and got 18 Cr written off and the bank collapsed last week. Depositors are on the streets for their money."

This comes just days after Preity tweeted about people being cynical. She also spoke about being called names if one praises their PM. She had tweeted, “What’s happening to people on social media? Everyone has become so cynical. If one talks about their first chat with an AI Bot then people presume it’s a paid promotion, if you appreciate ur PM then you are a bhakt & god forbid, if you are a proud Hindu or Indian then ur an Andh Bhakt!”

It is essential to approach individuals with authenticity, accepting them for who they truly are rather than imposing our expectations upon them. Perhaps it is time for all of us to relax and appreciate the opportunity to engage in meaningful communication. As for my marriage to Gene, my love for him is the reason behind that decision. Preity was last seen in the film Bhaiaji Superhit, which premiered in 2018, where she starred alongside Sunny Deol. Additionally, she made a brief appearance in an episode of the ABC series Fresh Off The Boat.  

Preity is poised to return to Bollywood with Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming film Lahore 1947. The cast will also include Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal, along with Sunny Deol, who will share the screen with his elder son, Karan Deol.
