Actor and co-owner of Punjab Kings (PBKS), Preity Zinta, was thrilled with leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s outstanding performance that led to a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the current IPL 2025 tournament. After the match, Preity was spotted giving Yuzvendra a warm hug.

On Tuesday, Yuzvendra turned the game on its head with an impressive bowling performance, taking four key wickets to lead PBKS to a 16-run victory over KKK at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

Before this match, Yuzvendra had only managed two wickets this season, but he stepped up big time, finishing with figures of 4/28. His efforts were crucial in helping his team defend the lowest total ever recorded in IPL history. KKR, chasing a modest target of 112, faltered from a solid 72/3 after 9 overs to collapse to 95 all out in just 15.1 overs.

Franchise co-owner Preity was overjoyed after the win. She rushed onto the field to share a heartfelt hug and a quick chat with Yuzvendra. This touching moment was caught on camera and quickly went viral on social media, with fans celebrating the connection between her and the players. In one clip, she was seen reliving the match's excitement, her hands shaking as she recounted the thrilling moments.

Preity is set to return to the Hindi film scene with Rajkumar Santoshi's new project, Lahore 1947. This film marks her first appearance on screen after taking a break. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, the movie also features Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol.

She completed filming for her comeback project in June of last year. Sharing some behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot, she expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew, saying, “It’s a wrap on Lahore 1947, and I’m so thankful for the amazing experience (folded hands and red heart emojis). I truly hope everyone enjoys this film as much as we enjoyed making it. It’s definitely been the most challenging film I’ve worked on.”
