Actor Preity Zinta, a regular attendee at the matches of her IPL team, the Punjab Kings, is currently unwell. She took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to communicate with her fans and followers. Preity posted her message a day before the Punjab Kings' match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, scheduled to take place at the Mullanpur Stadium on Sunday.

Preity expressed, “I believe the combination of intense travel, high temperatures, exposure to air conditioning, and frequently changing hotel accommodations has led to my fever. Being unwell and experiencing a sleepless night is never enjoyable. Thankfully, my mother is coming to visit me and attend the game tomorrow (heart eyes emoji).”

"I hope to make it to the Mullanpur stadium (fingers crossed emoji) as it marks our final home game in Chandigarh before we relocate to Dharamshala for the upcoming series of home games. Wishing goodnight to all the night owls (red heart emoji). I will simply pretend this is cricket fever and attempt to get some much-needed rest … and disregard the false information circulating online," she concluded her message.

On Saturday, a user on X shared, "Rishabh Pant mentioned in an interview that I could join any team except Punjab Kings. However, Punjab's owner, Preity Zinta, contradicted Pant by stating, 'We had the option to include both Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer in our team. Our priority was to select a top performer rather than just a well-known name... hence, we chose Shreyas Iyer.' In response, Preity remarked, 'I apologize, but this is false information!'" Preity Zinta is the co-owner of Punjab Kings.
