A year following its release, Pratibha shared insights into how her career and personal life transformed since the debut of Laapataa Ladies. The film was selected as India's official submission for the Oscars in 2025, although it did not advance to the shortlist.

In a discussion, Pratibha Ranta expressed that her life took a positive turn after the release of Laapataa Ladies. She stated, "Today, I have the ability to make choices. I can envision my aspirations. I can push my boundaries as an actor... Now, I am eager to explore new opportunities, which is only possible if you have proven yourself in your initial project and have been embraced by the audience."

Pratibha further expressed her ambitious aspirations for her upcoming project, stating, "My dreams have become bigger." The actress also addressed the fact that her film did not secure a place on the Oscars 2025 shortlist, revealing that she was not disheartened by this outcome. Instead, she felt a sense of joy that her debut Bollywood film was selected as India's official entry for the esteemed award, a development she had not anticipated. Nevertheless, she was thrilled by this achievement, which significantly impacted her career trajectory.

In other news, Pratibha Ranta recently received the Best Debut (Female) award at a prestigious ceremony, recognizing her outstanding performance in Laapataa Ladies. Following her significant achievement, the actress took to social media to express her heartfelt gratitude.
