In Veer-Zaara, Shah Rukh Khan portrays an army officer who finds himself incarcerated in Pakistan while on a quest for his beloved, portrayed by Preity Zinta. Speculation suggests that Prabhas' film mirrors this narrative, focusing on the theme of enduring love that spans across time.

As the speculation gained momentum, we contacted a member of the team, who refuted the claims as unfounded. Sources indicate that, aside from Prabhas portraying an army officer, the remaining rumours are completely inaccurate. "Tentatively titled Fauji, Hanu Raghavapudi has crafted an original narrative. It is a period drama centred around themes of romance and action," a source disclosed.

It has been some time since Prabhas took on a romantic role. His previous romantic film, Radhe Shyam, was a significant box-office failure. Since that time, he has concentrated on action-oriented films that appeal to his audience.

In addition to his work on Fauji, Prabhas is currently engaged in projects such as The Raja Saab, which is directed by Maruthi Dasari, and Spirit, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Furthermore, he is set to commence filming for Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2 in the near future.
