Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's rapid recovery following a stabbing incident has sparked inquiries, as many are curious about how he was released from the hospital merely four days after a six-hour surgical procedure. In response, Pooja Bhatt has criticized those spreading conspiracy theories regarding his prompt recuperation.

Pooja defends

In a recent interview with ETimes, Pooja Bhatt addressed the resilience of Saif Ali Khan and dismissed the notions put forth by conspiracy theorists.

Pooja remarked, "The vivid accounts of the stabbing that circulated in the media created a certain perception regarding Saif's physical condition. This perception likely did not align with the reality of witnessing him leave the hospital on his own."

The actress emphasized that Saif has demonstrated remarkable bravery and serves as a role model for others. She urged the public to refrain from speculation. Pooja further stated, "Is it not ironic that these same individuals praised him for walking into the hospital unaided? A man who voluntarily checks himself into a hospital while injured and traumatized undoubtedly possesses the strength to exit on his own. We ought to celebrate this rather than indulge in conspiracy theories."

Her remarks followed comments from Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam, who expressed his curiosity about how Saif was discharged merely four days after a six-hour surgical procedure.

"There are certain questions that remain unanswered in my mind, and I believe many citizens of Mumbai share this sentiment… When the attack occurred, medical professionals reported that a 2.5-inch knife had penetrated his back. They also indicated that the surgery took six hours. Additionally, the auto driver who transported him noted that he arrived at the hospital in a severely injured and bloodied state," Sanjay Nirupam stated, adding, "Has the treatment been so exceptional, or has the medical field advanced to such an extent that just four days later, Saif Ali Khan was able to return home in a state of vitality?"

About the attack

On January 16, an assailant entered Saif's 12th-floor apartment located in the affluent Bandra district of Mumbai and inflicted multiple stab wounds with a knife. The actor sustained several injuries during the incident and was subsequently rushed to Lilavati Hospital for emergency surgery. He was discharged and returned home on Tuesday.
