Paul Danan, who gained fame from his role in the hit British soap Hollyoaks, has tragically died at the age of 46. His management team announced the news today, leaving fans and fellow actors reeling from the sudden loss of this cherished star.

Danan’s management team, Independent Creative Management, put out a statement about the actor’s passing. They said, “With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of @pauldanan’s death at just 46 years old. Paul was a familiar face on TV, known for his incredible talent and genuine kindness, lighting up the lives of many.”

They added, “His sudden loss will create an irreplaceable gap for everyone who knew him. We ask for respect and privacy for Paul’s family, friends, and colleagues during this tough time. There won’t be any more comments for now,” as reported by Deadline.

His passing follows closely on the heels of another loss in the Hollyoaks family, as former star Diane Langton, known for her role as Marlena McQueen, passed away just a day earlier.

Danan was born on July 2, 1978, in Chigwell, UK, and landed his first acting role at just 19. He played the charming troublemaker Sol Patrick in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, which became one of the standout characters of his career. During his time on the show, he was a well-known figure, portraying a troubled bad boy with a rough past and a fiery personality.

After wrapping up his stint on Hollyoaks in 2001, Danan appeared in various TV projects, including CBBC's The Queen's Nose, and took part in reality shows like Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Big Brother. In more recent years, he has been open about his battles with substance addiction, sharing his experiences on The Jeremy Kyle Show.
