Actor Pankaj Tripathi has shared his perspective on the recent controversy involving Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia. In an interview with Screen, Pankaj raised concerns about the lack of sensibility that often accompanies sudden fame. He emphasized that the absence of censorship does not grant individuals the liberty to express anything under the guise of entertainment.

Pankaj Tripathi on the Ranveer Allahbadia issue

Pankaj Tripathi remarked, “The internet allows many individuals to become well-known almost overnight. They gain recognition and fame, but where is the sensibility? Do they possess the necessary intelligence regarding literary knowledge, social conduct, and so forth? Just because there is no explicit censorship does not imply that one can say anything in the name of entertainment. It is acceptable to enjoy lighthearted banter, but it is unacceptable to take pride in speaking nonsense.”

Pankaj Tripathi likens the situation to a ‘viral illness’

He further stated, “Do not place excessive importance on such matters. Anyone can go viral, but similar to a viral illness, it will last for a short period, and then we will move on. The reasons behind success are significant. I am not here to debate who is right or wrong; however, if you wield the power of words and influence others with your statements, it is crucial to bear that responsibility with great care.”
