Dr. Palash Sen teamed up with actor Akshay Kumar for the devotional song Mahakal Chalo, which just dropped a few days back. The singer had previously penned an open letter to Akshay, thanking him and praising him as a ‘naturally gifted’ singer. In a chat with an online media, Palash shared his thoughts on working with Akshay for this track.

The singer shared their thoughts on the surprise collaboration with Akshay for the spiritual track, saying, “Working with Akshay [Kumar] was incredible. He’s a superstar and a legend, yet he remains so down-to-earth and kind. This was my first time collaborating with him, and we hadn’t met before. Honestly, he’s one of the friendliest people I’ve encountered in Bollywood. Coming from the indie scene, I hadn’t worked in Bollywood before, but Akshay made me feel right at home. We recorded the song and filmed the video together in Mumbai.”

The way the audience reacted

The singer expressed his excitement about how well the song is connecting with listeners. He mentioned, “I truly believe in the power of divine energy, and it feels like this song was meant to come out at this time. I’m really happy that the audience is enjoying it, showing that there’s a genuine appreciation for devotional music.”

In an Instagram letter, Dr. Palash Sen commended Akshay for his kindness. “We’ve both been in the game for nearly 30 years, each doing our own thing. You’re the senior here, a true superstar, while I’m still navigating my way in a much smaller arena. I’ve always admired your journey as a middle-class guy from Delhi who made it big in the film industry through hard work and talent. That’s my story too, just in the music world,” he shared.

The devotional song also features a music video choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. Akshay posted the video on his Instagram a few days ago, showcasing both him and Dr. Palash Sen delivering the powerful track together. Fans have responded positively to the song.
