Reality television personalities Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover, who initially met in the Hamptons while filming the popular series Summer House, have decided to end their relationship after three years of dating.

During a recent episode of her podcast 'Giggly Squad,' co-hosted with Hannah Berner, DeSorbo, 32, expressed her emotions regarding the breakup, stating, “Craig and I have decided to no longer be together.” She shared that the separation was amicable, noting, “I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.” DeSorbo elaborated on their decision, emphasizing the importance of open communication: “I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want. And I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.” She also referred to Craig Conover as “definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had.”

The distance may have had an impact on their romantic relationship

While Paige has not disclosed many specifics regarding the reasons for their separation, it is widely believed that the challenges of a long-distance relationship have been a significant factor since 2022. Conover acknowledged to Page Six that this issue had become increasingly difficult, stating, “You know, long-distance is working for us. We’re fortunate that we’re on the East Coast, so it’s only an hour flight, but it is getting harder and harder.”

Paige and Craig made their relationship public on Instagram in December 2022, following several months of speculation about their romance. The recent turn of events in their relationship has left fans of reality television particularly upset, as many had hoped for a lasting future for the couple. DeSorbo's announcement of their breakup on December 30 came just weeks after Conover, 35, shared his thoughts with PEOPLE regarding potential marriage plans with the Summer House star.

Craig Conover intended to propose marriage to Paige DeSorbo

The Southern Charm star commented on his relationship with DeSorbo, stating, “We are committed to a long-term vision. While it may be tempting to seek immediate satisfaction, the foundation we are establishing is intended for a lifetime together, rather than merely for enjoyment in the moment.”

He further elaborated, “We are aware that marriage is in our future, and when that occurs, it will undoubtedly be enjoyable, but the timing remains uncertain.” The couple's genuine transition from friends to lovers has been showcased in both Southern Charm and Winter House. Conover has previously expressed thoughts about starting a family.

“When people inquire about Paige and me, she articulates it well by saying, ‘I understand. When I watch television shows, I want to feel included,’” he remarked. “We share our lives publicly, yet there is a significant amount of external noise.”

He added, “We are still uncertain about what our future holds. It will likely be a few years before we consider having children, and then we will need to navigate that path. I have embraced a more conventional role, focusing on the idea that a happy partner leads to a happy life.”

“Our aim is to ensure that when we do decide to have children, we can spend as much time at home with them as possible. We faced a choice: should we pursue a conventional life with others, or remain together? We concluded that finding the right partner is the challenging part, and we will address the rest as it comes.”

Paige DeSorbo refutes allegations that Bravo orchestrated the timing of the breakup announcement

In her podcast announcement regarding the split, Paige promptly addressed rumours suggesting that Bravo influenced the timing of their breakup. She stated, “It’s a very sad thing. And just to clarify — not that I even need to — regarding claims that ‘Oh, Paige was instructed to wait until Southern Charm or Summer House aired.’ No one can dictate my actions.” She firmly asserted, “The network holds influence, but not to that extent.”

Rejecting any notion of Bravo's involvement in the announcement, she stressed, “That is not a genuine situation. The rumours about our breakup months ago were also unfounded.”

The Summer House star candidly discussed how the speculation surrounding her relationship with her co-star impacted them. “Our initial rumour was that we were in a PR relationship. We have dealt with these rumours throughout our entire relationship and didn’t pay them much mind,” she explained. However, she wanted her audience to know, “I didn’t want [my listeners] to feel excluded or anything of the sort. Not at all.”

Paige confirmed that they were still together despite the circulating rumours at that time. Following their actual breakup, DeSorbo noted that she chose to take her time before publicly addressing the situation. “When we did break up, I certainly didn’t rush to social media or the podcast. We both allowed ourselves some time to process it privately with our family and friends.”

Andy Cohen, a prominent figure at Bravo, has since subtly responded to the news. He expressed his sentiments by leaving a series of crying face emojis in the comments of a post about the Paige-Craig breakup shared by the network’s The Daily Dish Instagram account, reflecting the feelings of many fans.
