The IIFA awards wrapped up last weekend in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and it was a glamorous event filled with stars. This year marked the 25th edition of the ceremony, hosted by Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar. Performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Nora Fatehi added to the excitement. In a special gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a message congratulating the awards organization on reaching this milestone and expressed his hopes for even greater success in future editions.

IIFA's official Instagram account posted a letter from Narendra Modi, which said, “I’m excited to hear about the 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards. This journey over the past 25 years showcases the dedication of everyone involved in turning IIFA into a global sensation—producers, directors, artists, musicians, technicians, and other industry experts, along with audiences from around the world.”

The note also commended IIFA for highlighting the finest in Indian cinema and bringing the magic of films to new audiences over the years. “Events like IIFA ensure that this kind of cinematic excellence is acknowledged and promoted,” the note stated.

This year, two events took place in Jaipur on March 8 and 9, focusing on digital film awards and theatrical releases. Laapataa Ladies took home the most awards of the night, winning in 10 different categories. You can catch the awards show on ZEE TV on March 16, Sunday, at 8 pm.
