An overly obsessed woman has placed Star Wars star Ewan McGregor and his family in a precarious situation reminiscent of a Baby Reindeer scenario. The Scottish actor, who is allegedly inundated with threatening messages, is reportedly taking steps to obtain a restraining order against the disturbed "fan" who has gone to great lengths to pursue him.

Documents examined by TMZ indicate that McGregor has sought a restraining order against Angelica Gorentz, who first drew his attention for negative reasons in 2022. She has been sending “rambling, delusional, and threatening messages” to the Obi-Wan Kenobi star, expressing a desire to have a child with him. According to the account provided by the Star Wars actor, Angelica has sent more than 500 emails to him or his family members since she became aware of him.

Most of these communications emphasize her intense fixation on having children with Ewan. One particularly distressing email from December states, “Because I only need your balls to have kids with you with IVF, not your f**king d**k.” In October, after viewing the film Da Vinci Code, she informed the actor that she believed the movie was a covert message from the “Illuminati” indicating that she is a princess.

The official documents further reveal that this delusional individual is firmly convinced of a fabricated narrative in which Ewan’s wife, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, has taken him from her.

Gorentz’s insane behaviour hit the roof last month when she reportedly drove from Minnesota to California and tried to shatter the holiday spirit in an attempt to barge into Ewan McGregor’s ex-wife’s home on Christmas Eve.

She was ultimately compelled to make a U-turn at a security gate. However, that only fuelled the obsessed woman’s delusion who then resorted to deadly threats, referencing firearms and the TV show Dexter.

Gorentz even detailed her trip in yet another terrifying message she sent while supposedly driving up to McGregor’s ex-wife's house.

Temporary restraining order granted

A judge has subsequently issued a temporary restraining order in favour of Ewan, providing a measure of protection for the actor and his family. This order forbids Gorentz from contacting or harassing the Star Wars icon, Mary, along with his five children and ex-wife. Additionally, the individual identified as a fan is mandated to maintain a distance of 100 yards from them.
