Shark Tank has achieved remarkable success in India, mirroring its global popularity, if not surpassing it. This is evidenced by Shark Tank India entering its fourth season. Recognizing the contributions of the true innovators behind the scenes, OTTplay has chosen to honor these individuals. They were awarded the Best Reality Show accolade at the third edition of the OTTplay Awards, which took place in Mumbai on March 22.

Bimal Unnikrishnan and Rahul Hotchandani received this esteemed award, acknowledging their dedication and hard work on Shark Tank India. During the OTTplay Awards 2025, Unnikrishnan expressed his gratitude, stating, "Thank you HT and OTTplay for this award. I appreciate all the sharks and emerging entrepreneurs for their efforts in making the show a success."

Similar to its international counterpart, Shark Tank India features entrepreneurs pitching their start-up ideas in search of investment. While some concepts receive immediate approval, many others require further refinement before returning for another pitch. Typically, this serves as both the initial and final opportunity for many participants. The show's format has gained traction in India, following its global success, and continues to be well-received.

At the OTTplay Awards 2025, prominent figures from the Indian OTT industry gathered to celebrate under the theme "One Nation, One Award." Notable attendees included Kajol, Kani Kasruti, Priyamani, Divya Dutta, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, and Neeraj Madhav, all of whom were recognized during the ceremony, which featured celebrities from various film industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

The OTTplay Awards 2025 was co-presented by Real Juice and Kuhl, and powered by Stock Gro.
