Jitendra Kumar, who is widely known as 'Jeetu Bhaiyya' due to Netflix's Kota Factory series, has also amazed fans with his comical performance in Prime Video's Panchayat series since 2020. Season 3 of the Hindi comedy drama was released last year in May 2024. Today, on March 22, 2025, Panchayat Season 3 wins the Best Series honour at the third edition of OTTplay Awards.

Panchayat Season 3 bags Best Series of the year

The previous year proved to be a remarkable period filled with exciting new web series and fresh seasons that captivated both audiences and critics alike. Among this impressive array, Panchayat Season 3 stood out prominently. Its relatable characters, compelling narratives, and genuine depiction of rural life struck a chord with viewers, earning widespread praise. Consequently, Panchayat Season 3 secured its status as one of the most cherished web series at the prestigious award ceremony.

The third season of Prime Video's Panchayat takes a significant turn as it explores the intricacies of village politics, particularly the fierce local elections. The disruptive character Bhushan competes for the esteemed role of 'Village Pradhan'. Simultaneously, Abhishek's return to Phulera ignites excitement, leading to conflicts with the powerful MLA Chandrakishore Singh, which sets the stage for a gripping and suspenseful storyline.

Jinendra Kumar's Panchayat web series is produced by The Viral Fever, with a script by Chandan Kumar and direction by Deepak Kumar Mishra. In addition to Kumar, the comedy series features performances by Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik, and Sunita Rajwa.
