The glamorous event was co-hosted by Kubbra Sait and Aparshakti Khurana. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari received the Best Actor (Female) Popular award for her exceptional portrayal in Heeramandi.

Aditi Rao Hydari mimics Aparshakti's Tapori style

The OTTplay Awards 2025, held in Mumbai, celebrated a range of artists for their significant contributions to the OTT industry. Among the distinguished attendees was the stunning Aditi Rao Hydari, who received an award for her exceptional performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand production, Heeramandi.

Aditi captivated the audience as she graced the stage in an exquisite royal purple saree. The host, Aparshakti, playfully asked her to accept the award in a distinctive 'Tapori style,' which was a stark contrast to her refined demeanour. After a brief moment of uncertainty, Aditi embraced the request, stating, "Apun ko ekdum raapchik maza arela tha Heeramandi mein." She was joined on stage by her Heeramandi co-star, Shekhar Suman, who affectionately referred to her as 'his favourite,' alongside presenter RVR Chowdhary, the Chairman of RVR Group.

She subsequently gave a moving speech, conveying her appreciation to HT City, OTTplay, and her directors. Aditi wrapped up her acceptance speech by enchanting the audience with her rendition of "Lag Ja Gale..."

Aditi Rao Hydari wins big for Heeramandi

Aditi received the award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series Heeramandi, where she portrayed the character Bibbojaan. Her portrayal quickly gained popularity, making her one of the most beloved characters due to her grace, charm, and captivating presence.

The OTTplay Awards 2025 attracted prominent figures from the Indian OTT industry, all gathered to celebrate the theme "One Nation, One Award." Notable attendees included Jyothika, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakesh Roshan, Rajesh Roshan, Hina Khan, Kajol, and many others, who were recognized during the ceremony that featured celebrities from various film industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, as they walked the purple carpet.

The OTTplay Awards 2025 is co-presented by Real Juice and Kuhl, with Stock Gro as the powering partner.
