Imtiaz Ali has recently revealed his upcoming project. Following the success of Amar Singh Chamkila, the writer-director is collaborating with Netflix once more, this time for a series featuring Aditi Rao Hydari and Avinash Tiwary in a romantic drama. Netflix has shared a video showcasing the cast during a table read, generating considerable excitement among fans. The series will be produced by Imtiaz Ali and directed by Arif Ali.

The announcement

In the video, Imtiaz and Aditi are seen seated with the rest of the writing team and crew members for a table read. Avinash also joins them for this session. Arjun Rampal, another member of the cast, greets the crew, and they proceed with the reading together. The series, helmed by Arif Ali, is described as an ‘ode to vintage love.’

This marks the second collaboration between Avinash and Imtiaz, following their work on Laila Majnu. The 2018 film was Avinash's debut and was directed by Sajid Ali.

Avinash was most recently seen in The Mehta Boys, directed by Boman Irani. Meanwhile, Aditi garnered acclaim for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi. A second season of the show is already in development.
