In 2019, Bharuccha featured in the hit comedy Dream Girl alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, captivating audiences with her performance. Anticipation was high for her return in the sequel. However, the casting of Ananya Panday in place of Bharuccha for Dream Girl 2, released in 2023, came as a shock, despite many original cast members reprising their roles. The actress has recently addressed this experience, admitting that it was challenging for her, even two years later.

She recently had a candid conversation with Nayandeep Rakshit regarding her challenges and successes as an outsider in Bollywood. Bharuccha expressed her disappointment at being excluded from Dream Girl 2, noting that it was particularly painful for her to be absent from the sequel while all other actors remained the same, except for the female lead, which she found unfair. Nevertheless, she asserted that she holds no grudges.

Bharuccha candidly responded, "No, and I will be honest with you," when asked if she had tried to challenge the judgment. She expressed that when she perceives no possibility for change, she chooses not to engage in a struggle against it. The actress elaborated, "What am I supposed to fight for? What can I say? ‘Why not me?’ The response would simply be, ‘Because we don’t want you.’ That is the reality, and it concludes there. Ultimately, it is a decision made by someone else, correct? I cannot question their choice."

She believes it is more beneficial to concentrate on the future and surround herself with supportive individuals rather than indulge in self-pity. The willingness of others to collaborate with her and acknowledge her value is significant to her. She concluded, "My fight is to not give up on myself."

Bharuccha illustrated her resolve with a powerful metaphor: “What will it accomplish to bang your head against a wall? It will only result in your own injury. No need to worry; simply create another entrance elsewhere. Build your own window—take a step forward or backward from there, and move in or out as you wish.”

Chhorii 2 is Nushrratt's latest film available for streaming on Prime Video, and she is currently relishing the success of this chilling sequel to her 2021 horror hit. The movie, featuring Soha Ali Khan, has received a variety of responses from both critics and audiences.
