Kangana Ranaut dropped a hint that she wished to play Mayawati on-screen next. The actress was on Aap Ki Adaalat when asked to choose between portraying Mayawati or Mamata Banerjee on screen. She picked Mayawati. It is to be noted that the answer comes in times when Mamata is facing backlash over the brutal case in Kolkata during her CM rule.

Justifying her answer, Kangana dropped a major hint that she indeed wanted to play Mayawati on screen. "Kalaakar ke liye kuch mushkil nahi hai lekin mujhe lagta hai Mayawati ji jo hai, as a leader, I would love to play her," Kangana confirmed.
Kangana feels the late politicians have blessed her
The actress-turned-politician further expressed that she felt the blessings of the late politicians and freedom fighter Rani Laxmibai, too. She shared that many actors wanted to play the role, but since she did, Kangana considers herself lucky.
The BJP politician then went on to claim that she never wanted to play Indira Gandhi on screen, but felt like the late politician wanted to see her in the role. "Aisa laga ki mujhe majboor kiya gaya ho yeh role play karne ke liye," she added.

The film is the story of Indira Gandhi having to take over the seat of the Prime Minister after her politician family’s affairs go wrong. During her reign, Indira made news for various reasons.
