Niveditha Shivarajkumar, the youngest daughter of the renowned Century Star Shivarajkumar, has been involved in production, serials, and web shows through her company, Shri Mutthu Cine Services and Productions, for some time now. She's ready to take a significant step forward with her debut feature film, titled Firefly. Directed by actor and filmmaker Vamshi, the movie is set to hit theaters on April 24, 2025, a date that holds special meaning for Niveditha’s family as it marks the birth anniversary of her late grandfather, the legendary Dr. Rajkumar.

Though Niveditha usually stays out of the limelight, often accompanying her father at public events, she’s now the center of attention as she kicks off the promotion for her first film. “Firefly tells a straightforward story that explores complex emotions in a fun and relatable way. The film will showcase a wide range of human feelings,” Niveditha shared during an interview with a Kannada news channel.

Niveditha shares her vision for a film featuring Shivarajkumar as the main character

The movie features Shivarajkumar, known for his role in Chigurida Kanasu, who recently made a brief appearance in Bhairathi Ranagal (check it out here), a detail that was only shared in the theatrical teaser. In his daughter’s film, he plays a pizza delivery guy. When asked if she’d want to create a full-length film with him as the lead, Niveditha expressed her eagerness to work with Shivarajkumar. However, his busy schedule means he’s committed for the next 3-4 years.

If she does get the chance to collaborate with her dad, the first-time producer envisions him in a straightforward family drama. This aligns with her goal of making films that reflect real life and resonate with audiences. Niveditha has made it clear that her projects will be in line with the types of films she enjoys watching herself.

Firefly, she mentions, wasn't the initial project she talked about with Vamshi. Having worked on web series before, he had shared a few ideas with her and later mentioned he had a concept for a feature film. After giving Niveditha a narration, which she found appealing, she discussed it with her parents, who also approved the project.
