Nita Ambani recently participated in the Harvard India Conference 2025 held over the weekend. During the event, the chairperson of the Reliance Foundation took part in an entertaining rapid-fire segment, responding to inquiries concerning Bollywood. She disclosed her preferred Bollywood actor and made several humorous selections, which elicited various reactions online.

Nita Ambani on love for Bollywood

Nita presented the keynote address at the conference, discussing her son Anant Ambani's battle with obesity, followed by an engaging rapid-fire session. When posed with the choice between Hollywood and Bollywood, she opted for Bollywood and subsequently answered additional questions related to the industry. Nita disclosed that her favourite actor in Hindi cinema is Amitabh Bachchan. When asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, she selected Ranbir Kapoor, explaining, "Ranbir, because my son Akash will be very happy—he's his best friend."

Nita chooses Ranbir over Bill Gates

A response that elicited enthusiastic applause from the audience occurred when Nita Ambani was posed the question, "Who would you prefer to have dinner with, Ranbir Kapoor or Bill Gates?" After a moment of contemplation, she opted for the Bollywood star over the former CEO of Microsoft.

The clip prompted reactions on Reddit, with some users expressing the view that she exhibits an excessive fascination with Bollywood. One comment stated, "She is obsessed with Bollywood." Another remarked, "Choosing Ranbir over Bill Gates reflects the prevailing patriotic sentiment in India. Additionally, RK is a close friend of her son, so both the family and the nation are in agreement." A further comment read, "Lmfaooo, her obsession with Bollywood is quite remarkable."

For those unfamiliar, Ranbir maintains a strong friendship with Akash Ambani, the son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. Akash was among the select guests at Ranbir's wedding to Alia Bhatt. Furthermore, Ranbir and Alia were seen performing alongside Akash and Shloka during the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

In addition to Nita Ambani, Upasana Konidela—an entrepreneur in healthcare, philanthropist, and spouse of actor Ram Charan—also participated in the Harvard India Business Forum, where she provided insights into contemporary practices and advancements within the Indian healthcare sector.
