Nikki Glaser is set to return as the host of the Golden Globes in 2026 after receiving rave reviews for her performance this year, according to reports. Deadline mentioned that only a “global calamity” could prevent her from coming back for a second time. The 40-year-old comedian might even be back in 2027, as she’s rumored to have signed a three-year deal in 2024.
An insider shared that Glaser’s salary is expected to rise “significantly.” It was previously reported that she earned just over $400,000 for the 2025 Golden Globes, which is less than what some previous male hosts received. For example, Jerrod Carmichael mentioned he was paid $500,000 for his hosting gig.
Glaser commented on this during an appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show, saying, “There was a past host who mentioned his pay in his monologue, and I got less than that, but that’s cool.” She added, “I’ll get more next year. I feel well paid for what I do. I’m alright,” suggesting she’s ready to take the stage again.
‘She would be great at this in the long term’
The producers of the Golden Globes had high praise for Glaser's performance, expressing their desire to bring her back in the future. Executive producer Glenn Weiss shared with Variety, “We had an amazing experience with her, and we believe she could excel in this role long-term.”
When asked if Glaser would be invited back, Weiss hinted, “Maybe!”
He continued, “I can’t officially say anything, but as someone who produces and directs award shows, she really found her groove here, and it all came together beautifully. I’d love to see her continue.”
Fellow executive producer Ricky Kirshner also commended Glaser, stating, “Nikki was a total home run in my opinion.”
Kirshner noted, “She really put in the effort. She did her research and practiced her material at clubs, sometimes hitting four or five shows a night for weeks, really grinding since November.”
He added, “When you have a host who’s that well-prepared and dedicated, and who’s in tune with what’s happening in our industry and the room, she’s just fantastic at this. She proved to be an excellent host.”
He also mentioned, “The Globes are all about a party vibe. It’s not your typical stiff environment. We want it to be relaxed, and with drinks flowing, it’s meant to be fun and festive.”
He wrapped up by saying, “Nikki’s whole vibe and approach really matched what this show is about. I think she did an outstanding job last night.”
