Nikitin Dheer, a prominent figure in the Indian film scene, is set to take on the role of a villain in Gippy Grewal's directorial debut, Akaal, which is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025. During the film's trailer launch, Nikitin expressed his enthusiasm about the project and shared his experience collaborating with Gippy Grewal, who is also the film's director.

He mentioned that he had been eager to land a role in a quality Punjabi film for quite some time, but the right opportunity always seemed to slip away. Nikitin explained that when Gippy Grewal reached out, everything just clicked: "I’ve been wanting to be part of a good Punjabi film for ages. I had a few chances before, but the roles didn’t feel right for me. Then one day, Gippy Paaji called me about this film. My father had previously worked with Gippy on a movie called Kaptaan, and I’ve heard nothing but great things about him since. When I got that call, it was an easy decision. He shared the character's look with me, and it was incredibly captivating."

He went on to discuss the significance of his role and the character of Akaal Singh, the film's protagonist. Nikitin shared his excitement about portraying the villain opposite such an important character: "The film is named after Akaal Singh, and the character is so substantial that the villain has to be portrayed in a specific way. The way Gippy has crafted the villain is a dream come true for any actor. I feel privileged to have been selected for this role. Gippy could have chosen anyone for this part, and I’m truly grateful that he picked me."

Nikitin shared his views on Gippy Grewal's directing style, highlighting how Gippy allows actors the freedom to fully embody their roles while also providing guidance when needed. He said, "A great director is one who lets actors explore their characters. But if they stray off course, it’s important to steer them back. Gippy really gave me the freedom to bring his villain to life. He’s an incredible director. Our film was quite demanding and filled with action. We filmed in freezing temperatures, and most of my scenes were shot at night. Yet, despite the tough conditions, there was so much love and camaraderie on set that I hardly noticed when we wrapped up."

He also commended Gippy for his clear vision, which made the filming process easier for everyone involved: "His vision was so precise that it really simplified things for us as actors. This has been one of my most rewarding experiences." The film, titled 'Akaal The Unconquered,' is set to be released in theaters on April 10, 2025.
