Bigg Boss 13 fame Dalljiet Kaur got married to Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel in March 2023. Their wedding ceremony was a close-knit affair with only close friends and family in attendance. Almost a year after they got hitched, reports of Dalljiet and Nikhil's separation surfaced online. Soon, Dalljiet accused Nikhil of having an extramarital affair. Amid this, Patel has finally broken his silence on their separation and reacted to Kaur's allegations against him.

Nikhil Patel on separation from Dalljiet Kaur

Nikhil Patel spoke to ETimes TV and shared his side of the story. The businessman revealed the reason behind his separation from TV actress Dalljiet Kaur. Patel said, "In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realized that the foundation of our blended family wasn't as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya."

Nikhil further revealed their Indian wedding ceremony, which was held in Mumbai last year, held cultural significance but wasn't legally binding. He mentioned that the ceremony was held to reassure Dalljiet's family about the actress' move to Kenya.

Nikhil Patel reacts to Dalljiet Kaur's allegations

Through a series of Instagram posts and stories, Dalljiet Kaur recently accused Nikhil of having an extramarital affair. Reacting to these allegations, Patel said the actress' impulsive posts have caused distress and confusion among those around him. The businessman said Dalljiet's posts have been misinterpreted and that has resulted in unnecessary harassment to his family and friends.

Having said that, Nikhil wished the best for Dalljiet's future and hoped that they can positively move on from this matter. For the uninitiated, Kaue was earlier married to television actor Shalin Bhanot. The actress has a 10-year-old son Jaydon from her first marriage.
