Nicole Kidman reflected on her mother's last words during an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, expressing her surprise that they would be the final words she would hear. "I was preparing to board a plane to visit her," Kidman recounted. "She advised me, ‘Maybe wait a minute because I think you just need to take care of yourself right now, Nicky,’" she recalled, referring to her mother, Janelle.

The actress further shared that her mother's counsel profoundly influenced her outlook on life, highlighting the tendency of women to overlook their own needs. "I am making a conscious effort to prioritize self-care, and I encourage others, especially women, to do the same," Kidman stated.

At 57, Kidman acknowledged that as a mother of four, she intends to incorporate Janelle's wisdom into her parenting. "Being an older mother, I aspire to be present for my daughters for many years to come," she remarked, mentioning her teenage daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 13, whom she raises with her husband, Keith Urban.

Additionally, Kidman is the mother of Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise. "They are remarkable young women, and I feel fortunate to have them in my life. Prioritizing my well-being is essential so that I can care for them effectively," Kidman concluded.
