Indian subscribers of Netflix will not be impacted by the recent price increase disclosed in the streaming service's financial results. Therefore, if you were concerned about the possibility of paying more to enjoy popular series such as Squid Game and Stranger Things, there is no need for alarm at this time.
The price increase has been implemented in the United States, Canada, Argentina, and Portugal, which Netflix states will allow for further investment in high-quality programming. In the United States, the price for Netflix's premium and standard subscriptions will rise by $2 each, bringing the new costs to $25 and $18, respectively. Additionally, the standard ad-supported plan will now be priced at $8 per month, following a $1 increase.
In India, Netflix subscribers experienced a reduction in subscription fees in December 2021, and these rates have remained stable since then. Most of the reductions ranged from 18% to 25%, with one plan seeing a significant decrease of 60%.
