3 days ago | 5 Views
Neha Kakkar has been making headlines lately after some fans slammed her for showing up three hours late to her concert in Melbourne last week. In a detailed post on Instagram, she explained the situation, revealing that the event organizers took off with all the money. Neha expressed her desire to perform for the fans who had been eagerly waiting for her.
Neha's remark
In her most recent Instagram update, Neha kicked things off with, “They claimed she arrived three hours late, but did anyone bother to ask what happened to her or her band? When I was on stage, I chose not to share our experience because I didn’t want to hurt anyone—who am I to blame anyone? But now that my name is involved, I felt it was necessary to speak out, so here it is!”
The message said, "Did you all know that I performed completely for free for my audience in Melbourne? The organizers took off with my payment, along with others. My band didn’t even get food, a hotel, or water. My husband and his friends had to step in and bring them food. Despite all this, we still went on stage and put on the show without any breaks because my fans had been waiting for hours."
I wasn't able to get to the venue
She mentioned, "You won't believe our sound check got pushed back for hours because the sound vendor wasn't paid, and he refused to set up the sound. By the time we finally got to start the sound check, I couldn't even make it to the venue. We had no idea if the concert was still on since the organizers stopped answering my manager's calls; they seemed to be avoiding the sponsors and everyone else. There's a lot more I could say, but I think that's enough for now."
Neha wrapped up her note by expressing gratitude to her fans for their support during the tough times.
Numerous videos circulating on social media captured Neha in tears as she apologized to the audience. She was also seen promising the crowd that she would make up for the lost time.
In response to the backlash, her brother, singer and composer Tony Kakkar, defended her in an Instagram post, saying, "An artist should stay within their limits, but what about the public?"
