After Bangla Medium ended last November, Neel Bhattacharya started working on two web series back to back. His first web series Boka Bakshote Bondi was dropped on Hoichoi recently. There, he is seen opposite Solanki Roy. Another web series, Milkshake Murders will be dropped soon on Klikk. He pairs up with his wife Trina Saha in this series. The actor was missing from Bengali television. 

However, now the wait is over. Sources say that Neel Bhattacharya is coming soon to Zee Bangla. The serial Alor Kole ended recently. Casting for another mega serial from Prosenjit Chatterjee’s production house NIdeas has started.

According to a report on Hindustan Times Bangla, Neel Bhattacharya’s name has been finalised as the hero. However, the actor kept mum. He refused to comment. Sources close to Neel said that previous talks about some projects with Neel took place but nothing was finalised. Hence, Neel is cautious this time. He is working on films and OTTs but does not want to leave television. 

Neel has not yet signed the contract and hence does not want to comment on anything. It is also heard that Swikriti Majumder, who played Alo in Alor Kole, might play the female lead. Swikriti, who came to fame with the serial Khelaghar, has an engineering degree, a fact known by not many. 

Several serials are ending soon after their releases now because of low TRPs and several new serials started on Bengali television. In June, two serials started on Zee Bangla – Diamond Didi Zindabad and Puber Moyna. A new serial, Malabodol, is starting next week. Biswajit Ghosh and Ritu Paine are the leads here. All the Zee Bangla serials stream on Zee5 and are also available on OTTplay Premium. 

On Star Jalsha also, several new serials are starting. Gourab Chatterjee will return to Star Jalsha with the serial Tnetulpata. Initially, Arunima was heard to be the female lead in this story of a joint family. But the casting got changed at the last moment. Ritabrata Dey is playing the role.
