Nayanthara made her Bollywood debut with filmmaker Atlee's Jawan in 2023. The actress shared screen space with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the movie. While Nayanthara played a lead role in the film, the supporting star cast included Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra among several others. Recently, in an interview with Hello magazine, Nayanthara opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, which was released last year.

When Nayanthara was asked about working with Shah Rukh Khan in the Atlee directorial Jawan, the actress said, "Who is not his fan? We have all grown up watching his films and we all love them. Apart from being the huge star that he is, I really admire the fact that he respects women a lot."

Nayanthara further mentioned that she was sure of the fact that Jawan would create a huge impact. The actress stated that after working for several years in the film industry, a person knows when a film is going to work and vice versa. In the movie, Nayanthara played the role of Narmada Rai. As for Shah Rukh, the superstar essayed double roles in Jawan.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Nayanthara will next be seen in S Sashikanth's sports drama, The Test. The actress will be sharing screen space with R Madhavan and Trisha in the film. Currently, Nayanthara is busy working in Mannangatti: Since 1960, helmed by Dude Vicky. The actress will be seen alongside Yogi Babu, Devadarisini Sukumaran and Gouri Kishan in the movie.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. His upcoming projects include Tiger v/s Pathaan with Salman Khan and Pathaan 2. The buzz is that Siddharth Anand might not direct the second instalment of the 2023 film. It featured Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles and marked SRK's comeback to movies.
