Triptii Dimri gained significant recognition for her performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Animal. Following the film's success, fans affectionately dubbed her the ‘national crush.’ However, her co-star from Bulbbul, Parambrata Chatterjee, addressed this label during an interview with SCREEN, suggesting that "she has much further to go."

Parambrata's Perspective on Triptii Dimri's 'National Crush' Label

In a rapid-fire segment, Parambrata was prompted to evaluate his female co-stars based on their abilities. He ranked Triptii Dimri last, placing Vidya Balan at the top of his list. He elaborated on the ‘national crush’ designation, indicating that such accolades are transient, while genuine talent is lasting. He stated, "It is what it is; national crushes are temporary, but class is permanent. No offense intended. Apologies. What is she referred to as? Bhabhi 2!"

He further compared her to Vidya Balan, noting, "She is delightful, a very nice person, and I have a good rapport with her. However, she still has a long way to go. She entered the industry at a young age and has much to learn. In contrast, Vidya, I must say, is in a league of her own in everything she undertakes."

Parambrata's Hindi Film Career and Recent Project

Parambrata Chatterjee made his debut in Hindi cinema alongside Vidya Balan in the film Kahaani, which achieved considerable box office success, grossing ₹79.20 crore globally. He subsequently collaborated with Anushka Sharma in Pari and with Triptii Dimri in Bulbbul. Currently, he is engaged in promoting his latest project, Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, this film is an official adaptation of the 1989 Hindi film Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, which is itself a remake of the renowned American classic 12 Angry Men.

Triptii Dimri’s upcoming movie

Triptii Dimri is set to appear in Vishal Bhardwaj’s forthcoming film, Arjun Ustara. She will share the screen with notable actors such as Shahid Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda. The film, which is set against the backdrop of the post-independence underworld, is slated for release in 2026.
